Where diverse voices come together: Salon 39, a celebration of people, creativity, and collaboration

The value of empathy: a superpower for the future!

Martin Cserba of diconium showed us that empathy is the key to social solidarity and a sustainable future. He reminded us that true innovation lies in the space in between. It isn't about winning or losing, 0 or 1, but about what happens in between and all around. Treating mindfulness as a value and using empathy as our superpower is already a big step in the right direction.

Purpose-driven organisations: sustainability meets innovation

Oliver Brunschwiler of FREITAG shed light on the purpose-led vision behind the brand. Sustainable supply and production chains that reject greenwashing and rely on open-source patents point the way to a better future. Holacracy creates an agile, transparent organisational culture for innovation and progress, in which all employees are involved on equal terms.

Experience economy: discovering new realities

Dr Marc Schumacher of the AVANTGARDE Group took us on a journey into the fascinating experience economy — where unexpected behaviours pave the way for transformative marketing strategies. Brand and product experiences are measured with new KPIs: identification, authenticity, participation, emotionality, inspiration and convenience. With the face of retail continuing to change and experience-driven retail structures on the rise, an open field of possibility lies ahead of us. The subsequent conversation with Yannick Dietrich gave us an insight into the success factors behind Breuninger.

Trends to watch: the de-habitualisation of our society

Sabine Rogg of Trendbüro revealed the most exciting trends for 2023 and beyond. While the permacrisis is reshaping our habits, artificial intelligence is shaping our future. Our expectations are shifting and we are looking for stability. To meet these challenges, we need to create marketplaces of mindsets and belonging.

Community-driven brands: community, creativity and a new leadership culture

“When did you last really feel like you belonged?” asked Mirja Schwartz of hi, tilda, inspiring us with the power of community and the significance of community-driven brands. Learning together, collaborating with agility and establishing a new leadership culture — that is the vision.

The future of creativity and artificial intelligence

In his masterclass, our own Hannes led us into the fascinating world of AI tools. He gave us four fundamentals for getting started with prompt engineering: provide context, break the problem into small steps, define the answer you want, and name the expert who should solve the task. And who already knows the Tree of Thoughts method?

Designing for impact: sustainability without greenwashing

Pia showed us how to build sustainability into our projects. Design has the power to have a positive effect on our environment — without greenwashing. Together we are shaping a sustainable future.

Quo vadis female leadership: the vision of an equal future

Lilli Benz of THIS IS ORA discussed the role of women in leadership and the challenges of female leadership. What do we need instead of the patriarchy-inspired girl-boss mentality to encourage more diversity at the top? By becoming aware of unconscious bias in our HR departments and at leadership level, recognising female qualities as strengths and nurturing them equally in everyone, we can shape an equal future and open up new perspectives.
